We continue with our outreach to environmental groups to build on the widespread support we’ve received from many local environmental organizations. Sudbury’s own Conservation Commission weighed in in March, saying “We believe that the preferred alternative within the MBTA rail line property is a significantly flawed alternative regardless of whether or not the transmission line is above or below ground.” We’ve also had letters or statements from SVT, Mass Audubon, Marlboro Conservation Commission, Sudbury Water District, US Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service, and Friends of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge. And this week, Alison Field-Juma, Executive Director for OARS For the Assabet Sudbury & Concord Rivers weighed in with “Alternatives to this ecologically-damaging route must be considered.” Thanks OARS!

We look forward to also working with Clean Water Action in Boston to help build our base of support and will continue to reach out to other local and regional environmental groups to build a broad-base of support among the environmental advocacy community and to inform the of the challenges presented by the Eversource proposals.
